Federal Headship and the Atonement

December 17, 2008

Dominic Bnonn Tennant has written a very interesting and thoughtful essay here:

On the atonement, part 1: federal headship and forensic imputation

I was particularly struck by Dominic’s discussion on what is and is not imputed; ie “acts” versus “righteousness itself.”

It is worth reading, even if some may not agree with his conclusions regarding the extent of the atonement.
