Bullinger’s Soteriology

July 8, 2009

I know Bullinger has come up on this blog a few times now. If our readers wish to read a good presentation and discussion of Bullinger’s soteriology, go here: The Storehouse.

You can read the various parts:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5.

Keep an eye out for future entries.

If I understand correctly, Nathan is doing doctoral work at Moore [Later correction: I understand Nathan needs to convert this into a doctoral project.] His blog and posts are very much worth reading. The style of Nathan’s blog reminds of The James Durham Thesis blog: No partisan spirit,  but yet academic and irenic contributions to our knowledge base.

Our interests specifically relate to the fact that Nathan, by his own original research, has correctly spotted Bullinger’s position on the extent and nature of the satisfaction of Christ.

Thanks for the recommendation David, I only just found this blog. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever been described as “irenic”.

A minor correction: its a 4th year project, not doctoral work. I might like it to turn into doctoral work though :)

    Hey Nathan,

Ah thanks for the correction. You should consider taking it to a doctoral level. I was thinking today, there are so many who don’t have a clue about the actual Reformed history.

    Thanks for stopping by,
